Going to keep this short. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions for me last weekend.
My close friend (jabar) of more than 10 years, called me on Saturday evening and informed me the death of his mother. It shocked the hell out of me, as it was barely a month since i last saw and visited her @ NUH when she suffered a minor heart attack. Went over to Jabar’s house at 12 midnight to be joined by a few other friends. It was really sad.. but i needed to be strong for my dear friend.
On Sunday, i attended a wedding of another close friend (Erwan). Somehow, the battery for my camera went dead and i had a few shots of the groom. The food was really nice and both me and Nureen loved the decorations of the wedding.
At 3pm, Redbacks had a tough game against K-1-K Football United. We managed a 2-0 win with the whole team performing beyond expectations and with the captain’s leadership.
By 8pm, both me and Nureen went back to visit Jabar @ Bukit Batok. If i had the choice, i wished that i could have the wedding, the funeral and the match on 3 seperate days. But it’s god’s will and i made my choice to be there for all three occasions. At the funeral, i had to hold back tears of sadness. At the wedding, i held back tears of happiness for my close friend. The redbacks game gave my emotions a big break between the two extremes.
God bless her soul and Jabar’s family.
God bless the marriage of Erwan and Yana.

teamtalk
Redbacks won convincingly at Broadbrick Secondary School against FC Corpus Christi with a huge 7-0 scoreline. After last week’s game being postponed at half-time against RSM, Redbacks re-discovered their best form again and recorded the best result within a year.
Scorers: Hilmi, Ayat (2), Ayyub (2), Kai, Jaz
Although it was a very positive result, Ming only got to play 30mins and was understandably upset being substituted halfway in the 2nd half. I urged him to continue displaying what he did against FC Corpus Christi in future games and prove his worth to the management of Redbacks. He managed to maintain possession pretty well and showed improvements in his gameplay. Dont give up bro, your time will come and make sure you work hard to earn your place in the team!
I may have scored 2 and assisted 2 of the goals in this match. However, i felt that i could have played way better. I yearn for more precise through balls that Azhar provided me of late. I am really thrilled for the team and delighted with the win, but on a personal level, i need to perform to my best abilities in future games.
Cant wait for next match and i hope you guys enjoyed the pictures.

Thanks for the excellent pictures! Love u guys to the max!

Went to Jurong Entertainment McDonald’s for their farewell dinner. JE53 was where i worked for a year and 7 months before i resigned to pursue my full time studies.
Didnt eat much. Met almost everyone except Ahmad, Siqi, Alvin, Aidah, Nabil, Ayu, Senan, Peggy, Kathir, Crestine and Jusri. I printed pictures with a little note to wish them luck for almost all of them. It’s a little gesture to thank them and a token of memory that i hope they will treasure.
Many of them cried and even i didnt got emotional, my heart was crying with them. There are so many memories of working at JE. The bond we shared and the friendship between us is perhaps something that i never experienced before in my short yet exciting career. All the managers, auntie crews, youngsters, Malaysian crews….
I am pretty sure that the friendship between me and some of them will live on. I wishes everyone a brighter future and hope that we will get to meet one another again.
With lots of love,
Ayyub
